A new law 07/01/1910 Ca DMV DUI was sentenced before that date?
Ca DMV came out with a new law that states that DUI offenders can receive a restricted license with 90 days of his sentence served with some other provisions. He was convicted of my second DUI a few months before that date. I called the DMV and said that the law is not retroactive and can not take advantage of this new law. Is there a way to go to court to see if I could change my date of conviction or something that can have this new law benefit me? You can see the terms of this new law in place of Ca Violations DMV Vehicle Code is 13352, is Division 6, Chapter 2, Article 3 of the California Vehicle Code. Thanks for any help that I'm really in a jam with a work permit.
N ยบ ford DMV is correct. His case is over. The law came into effect from 7.1.1910. It has no effect before that date!
