if you’ve gotten a DWI..which is a misdemeanor..can it change to something higher?
my bf got in a wreck bk in jan and ran into someone..no one was hurt thank goodness except for bruises..and a DWI is a misdemeanor but he heard something about if someone was injured that it could lead to jail time..i looked it up myself for him but couldnt pull up too much info on it and im no lawyer but i think it meant if a person was like seriouly hurt or died which neither of those happened
Depends on how the statute reads. I believe almost any DWI can result in jail time, and if someone is injured, that would be a good reason to impose it.
